We lost an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend on July 31, 2018. Steve aka = "The Big Bopper,: aka "The Professor," aka- "Thornbush Ripple," age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hermosa Beach, CA, to Delbert Wright and Louise McKay Poole on August 25, 1941, the oldest of two boys. He grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1959. Steve was a talented musician and entertainer. He toured with several bands throughout the North Western United States and later worked as a radio Personality of KSVN and KCPX. He married the love of his life, Juanita in 1965 and would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in September. Steve is survived by his wife, Juanita; four sons: Jaime, Paul, Steve and Tim; brother, Richard; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 6, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing beforehand at 1:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403.
