IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steven
Valentine
March 7, 1960 – January 6, 2026
Steven died January 6th, 2026, at Ogden Regional Hospital. Family and friends gathered around him, sharing their love.
Steven was born in Brigham City, Utah, on March 7th, 1960, to parents Luis J. Valentine and Connie Eileen Bingham Valentine, and grandparents Wilford and Marjorie Bingham of Ogden, Utah, and Glen and Esther Valentine of Brigham City, Utah.
Steven, or "Stevie B," was born into the Valentine family two weeks early. Connie was concerned; she felt the baby's stress. She drove with her son Ron from Ogden to her doctor in Brigham City, and left her son with Grandma Valentine. Dr. Bunderson met her at his office, and they walked across the street to Brigham Cooley Hospital.
They entered the hospital doors at 5:30 pm, and Steven was born at 7:30 pm. Steven entered this world in serious condition; his lungs were filled with water. He was placed in an incubator for three days, then he was released. His parents were relieved, but cautious.
Steven was born at 6Ibs 8oz and measured 18 inches long. Steve was a quiet, bashful baby. He grew to be rough and tough, loved playing with friends and his older brother Ron, and all dogs and cats.
He started Kindergarten in Ogden. We then moved to Clinton, Utah. He attended Sunset Junior and graduated from Clearfield High.
At 19 years old he began working for Utility Trailer, building floors for trailers. He spent 43 years with Utility, as the foreman of the refrigerated units.
He was a member of Roy Golden Spike Elks Lodge for over 20 years.
Steven married Barbara Eames, and they later divorced. Steve then met his life partner and soulmate, Diana Larsen.
He was the father of two children that he loved and cared for deeply, Nicolas Steven and Madison Mercedes, married to Nathan Elwell, and had a granddaughter, Porsha June Elwell.
His brother Ronald and wife Kelle, Diana's daughter Erica, and her children Quinton, Talia called him "Stepdaddy Steve."
At Steven's request, he was cremated.
A celebration of life honoring Steve was held at Roy Elks Lodge on Saturday January 10th. The outpouring of love for Steven and his family was evident there; friends and neighbors, high school friends, former Utility workers, family, young and old, elk friends, people from years back came. The joy that filled the Elks lodge as people met each other again. Truly filled all our hearts with love.
A Celebration of Love. For, Steven Bingham Valentine.
