Riverdale- Stuart Wayne McAdams passed away January 2, 2011 after a short battle with cancer.Wayne was born June 23, 1955 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida the son of Marian Morton and Hal Burch McAdams. He attended school in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from the Hargrave Military Academy, Chatham, Virginia. After a year at Florida State University he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1976 and spent ten years in the service of his country. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with high honors.While stationed at Hill Air Force he married his sweetheart, Susan Grover. They are parents of three sons and one daughter.He owned and operated the UPS Store in Riverdale for the past ten years.He is survived by his wife Susan, sons; David (Athena) North Ogden, Nathan and daughter Nicole (Joshua) Taylor both of Riverdale, his mother Marian and brother Hal (Martha) and nephews David and Matthew McAdams all of Vero Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his son Stuart Wayne McAdams Jr. and his father, Burch. Funeral services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Friday January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit the family on Thursday January 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. The family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Hansen and his office and to the staff of McKay Dee Hospital for their care and assistance.Wayne will be missed by all who knew and loved him.Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers send donations to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
