Mrs. Sunisa Thim Pongpommard of West Haven, UT, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the age of 55. Sunisa was born in Bangkok, Thailand to parents Nuay and Somporn Grinkaiw on December 16, 1961. She grew up as the eldest of six and graduated from Layton High School in 1979. In 1980, she married her husband, Triemsin Pongpommard. In 1982, they had their first child, Penny Isolampi. Their son, Timothy Pongpommard, was born in 1987. Sunisa was great cook, had a green thumb, and loved to dance and sing. She was an esteemed member of the Thai community and enjoyed donating her time to Wat Dhammagunaram. Sunisa is survived by her husband, Triemsin Pongpommard; her sister, Chaweewan Meengern; her brother, Yutthana Grinkaiw; her sister, Shirley Gooseberry; her sister, Tina Krege; her sister, Jeanette Church; her cousin, Maryann Vanausdall; and her cousin, Cathy Higham. She was preceded in death by her mother, Somporn Hunt; her aunt, Sangem Grinkaiw; her aunt, Porntip Klundt and her uncle, Richard Klundt. Sunisas Funeral will be on February 18, 2017 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. The Viewing will start at 12:00 PM followed by a Buddhist Religious Ceremony at 1:00 PM.
