Susan Barnes, 67, passed away at her home on January 3, 2023, with her family at her side, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Ogden to William Earl "Bud" Barnes and Barbara Gay Tullis. She attended school in North Ogden and Ogden and graduated from Weber High School in 1973. Susans first job was as a receptionist for Holbrook Company. She later worked for First Security Bank in the payroll department. Her most recent job was at Management Training Corporation in Centerville where she worked for over 36 years as Development Coordinator. Susan had a great love of animals, having had many pets over the years with her favorite being her golden retriever, Molly. Susan always said that when she gets to heaven, she hoped that the first thing she sees is Molly running toward her to welcome her. Susan is survived by her mother, Barbara Tullis, her sister Ann (Frank) Tsantes, brother-in-law Curt Knight, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Barnes, her sister Carol Knight, and nieces Dusti Knight and Megan Turner. Susans family extends its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bellisario Arango and his staff, Dr. Shane Weber, and especially to Atlas Homecare and Hospice nurses Sydney and Shannon for their care and compassion. A private memorial service will be held for Susan. Interment will be at Leavitts Mortuary Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden.
