Susan Akerley JonesSusan Gail Akerley Jones passed away suddenly on March 21, 2013. The daughter of Howard Paul and Helen Louise (ne Robinson) Akerley, she was born in Manchester, NH, on November 2, 1951.Susan earned her bachelors degree in political science from the University of New Hampshire.Susan was an voracious and graceful skier who died doing what she loved best. Susan and her husband, Harry, retired to Utah in 2006 to enjoy the "greatest snow on earth." And enjoy it she did! For over 100 days each season, Susan reveled in the joy of skiing at Snowbasin, even after Harrys passing in 2010. Survivors include her daughter Alice, step-children Jordan and Jana, daughter-in-law Hazel, siblings Robert, Douglas, and Nancy, nieces and nephews, and "ski family" from Snowbasin.Cremation will be under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to SkiDUCK (Skiing and snowboarding for Disabled and Underprivileged Children and Older Kids: www.skiduck.org) or Adaptive Ski Program (www.adaptiveski.org).Online condolences may be left for the family at: www.leavittsmortuary.com
