Susan Peggy Brown Peek1947- 2013Family isnt always blood. Its the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what".I came to this earth as an ember left over from the 4th of July celebration arriving on July 5th, 1947. The flame burned brightly for 65 years and slowly came to an end on January 31st, 2013. I was blessed with two parents who loved and cared for me. My father was Frank Robson Brown who returned to the universe in 1964 and my mom Shirley LaRue Poulsen who also took the celestial walk in 1997. During my 65 years here on earth I have had many, many mentors guiding my way. I shared my parents with my brother Craig Robson Brown who left this earth before me in 1996. My little sister is Michele LaRue Brown Stone who chose to love a beautiful man, Brent Joseph Stone and they share two wonderful children. There were many toads on my path in life, but there was a handsome frog who gave me a wonderful, beautiful little girl who I am very proud of. Tamara Jean Courtney has grown into a successful confident business woman and shared her kids Nicholas, Andrea, Katie and Bailey with me. In 1984 I married my true Romeo, Allan H. Peek, the best thing that could have happened to me. We have shared many years of joy and love. I had a huge extended family which includes Kelly Terri Peek, Todd Tammy Peek, Tony Connie Peek, Jon Geena Peek, Mike Susana (Peek) Feightner, 19 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren. I am grateful and so blessed for the people in my life. I began my career at Browning Arms and from there I moved on to the payroll department at Ogden City, eventually working my way into the Emergency Dispatch Center. After several years I retired to my flower garden, tending to the hummingbirds and my many plants and flowers. Cooking was a passion as I was always looking for the next best recipe. Deviled Eggs were a family favorite. I spent many hours doing needlepoint, tatting, cross-stitch and spending time with the family. My body will be cremated by Leavitts Mortuary of Ogden. Condolences can be shared with my family at www.leavittsmorturay.com. For all of you that I love- I shall see you again. As Granny Sue would not have had it any other way, a celebration of life for friends and family will be held on Thursday February 7th, 2013 at the Marriott Hotel in Ogden from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
