Tamara (Tamie) Jane Simmons

August 18, 1960 – April 8, 2025

Tamara (Tamie) Jane Simmons, 64, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025. Born on August 18, 1960, in Ogden to Gordon L. Simmons and Shirley V. Simmons. Tamie was a proud lifelong Utahn with a generous heart and a deep love for her family.

Tamie graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1979, where she was proudly enrolled in the ROTC program. Her time in ROTC reflected her strength, discipline, and commitment—qualities she carried with her throughout her life.

She was a passionate football fan, and nothing brought her more joy on game day than cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Whether she was spending time with family or watching a big game, Tamie brought laughter, warmth, and spirit into every moment.

She is survived by her loving brothers, Ron (Cheryl) Simmons and Jerry Simmons; nieces and nephew, Cathy Robinson (Jason), Brian Robinson (Pam), and Cristy Luna; great-nieces and nephews, Stephanie Haynes (Tanner), Katlyn (Bradley) Brower, Casey Haynes, Brayden Robinson, and Presley Robinson; and great-great-nieces Violet and Eloise Brower—with two more precious ones on the way.

Tamie was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Shirley Simmons, and her dear sister and best friend, Hope Robinson.

A graveside service to honor Tamie's life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Leavitt's Mortuary, located at 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT 84403.

Tamie will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, her loyalty, and her enduring love for her family
