Tamari Coleman Bingham

Tamari Coleman Bingham passed away May 1st, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, after a long hard fight with cancer.  She was born in Ogden, Utah on June 3rd, 1965, to Theresa and Richard Coleman.  Raised in Plain City, she graduated from Weber High School in 1983.

She met the love of her life Fred Bingham, and they married May 2nd, 1992.

Tamari worked 30 years as a waitress for Freeway Café, Flying J and Denny’s. She was beloved by her regular customers and `co-workers. She made many lifelong friends, and many considered her the best damn waitress in town.

Tam and Fred loved the outdoors. They enjoyed spending time at their properties in Lava where Tam would go explore, photograph wildlife, and search for arrowheads. She loved fishing with her dad, singing with her mom and spending time with her sisters.  She was a music connoisseur and had a vast array of music from opera to hard rock and everything in between.  She enjoyed trips to Pocatello to play slots and rarely came home without a win.

She was funny, sarcastic, and loved to play tricks on people.

Even on her worst days, she constantly worried about others and wanted to make sure they were taken care of first. She was tough as nails and never complained. Her hospice nurse described her as the “Energizer Bunny”.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Fred Bingham, mother Theresa Nattress and grandparents Milton Coleman, and Robert and Paralee Junk.  She is survived by her father Richard Coleman (Kate), sisters Sheri Locher (Steve), Amanda Peterson (Steve), Grandmother Norma Coleman, nieces, stepchildren, and many grandchildren.

We would like to thank Dr Hessenhauer, the cancer team at Intermountain Health Care, and the many friends she made at the cancer center. We would also like to express our appreciation for the compassionate care she received from the hospice team from IHC.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street Ogden, Utah. Friends and relatives may visit with family on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to Intermountain Homecare & Hospice or The American Cancer Society.
