Tieny Rosella Borger Williamson Allred (age 91)Rosella passed away peacefully on the afternoon of September 15, 2012. She has been a resident at the Peachtree Place Assisted Living Center for the last 2 years. She has blessed many lives and left many who are her forever friends. Rosella was born in Kanesville, Utah to Henry (Holke) Borger and Margaret (Grietje) Vander Heide on October 21, 1920. Natives of Joure, Netherlands, her parents had come to the Ogden area from Altenessen, Germany in 1911 after joining the LDS Church. After graduating from Ogden High School in 1938, she married her longtime sweetheart Arthur Williamson on October 28, 1939. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 26, 1955. Together they owned and operated the Uptown Trailer Park and Apartments at 2679 Childs Avenue for 22 years. They labored diligently and rejoiced in raising their four boys to manhood. Rosellas life has been one of service in many areas, not the least of which is just being a helping friend. She served as the Ogden Second Ward Relief Society President for eight years and during some of those years she also worked as President of Pingree Elementary School PTA. She also was a scout leader in the Primary. After 34 years of marriage, her husband died of cancer in June of 1973. She kept busy in her church callings, in bowling leagues, and daily service to others. Then she married Arlin Richard Allred on December 28, 1976, spending a short, but very happy time with him before his death with cancer in March of 1978. Her step children and their families have added greatly to her happiness. In later years she was an ordinance worker in the Ogden temple and worked at Beehive Clothing. She loved sewing, bowling, anything to do with flowers, and above all, learning and reciting poetry. Rosella is the mother of four much loved sons; the late Lee Arthur (Carol) of Ogden, Utah; the late Darrell Jimmy (Sherrie) of Afton, Wyoming; Ronald Lynn (Diana) of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania who is currently teaching in China; and David Henry (Cindy) of Hooper, Utah. Her posterity from both the Williamson and Allred lines number over 100. All 13 of her brothers and sisters and 1 grandson (Matthew Darrell) also preceded her in death. Services for Rosella will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet friends on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Friday, also at the mortuary.
