Terry Wallace Miller, loving husband, father, brother, son and grandfather was called home Thursday, September 21, 2017, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family who were able to sing and love him straight into the arms of Jesus. Terry was born March 22, 1952 to Wallace and Virginia Miller in Alliance, NE. In 1970 he graduated from Laramie High School, Laramie, WY, where he played football and was on the swim team. He married Julia Ann Ritter on December 16, 1972. Terry attended Concordia College, St. Paul, MN, where he received his bachelors degree in education in 1980. He spent the next 30 plus years creatively teaching upper elementary students at St. Paul Lutheran School, Ogden, UT, making learning fun and interesting. His love of God and music was manifested as he organized and led vocal choirs, bell choirs, and a praise band. He also enjoyed writing and arranging music of his own. His many hobbies included stamp collecting, gaming and creating fantasy dioramas. He also spent a lot of time gardening and hiking, especially after his retirement in 2015. Terry is survived by his wife, Julie; daughters, Talaya (Zach) Vander Wal and Kira (Anthony) Tran; his son, Zachary (Malgo) Miller; his three granddaughters, Cora, Sage and Moriah. He is also survived by his mother and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his father. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3329 Harrison Blvd., Ogden, UT, on Monday, September 25, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be given to Operation Christmas Child through St. Paul Lutheran Church.
