Thomas Horace Clawson, 93, passed away June 27, 2016. He was born October 12, 1922 to Horace and Greta Clawson in Butte, Montana. Tom graduated from Ogden High School in 1941. He married Mary Ann Scott, they later divorced. In 1970 he married his sweetie Ruth Worring. In 1942 Tom joined the Navy. He was a Veteran of WWII and of the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad as a conductor in 1983. Tom and Ruth enjoyed square dancing, traveling together and most of all.family. He was a loving father and grandfather who was generous with his time and love. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Tom was baptized a member and ordained an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ogden with his loving wife, Ruth. Tom. is survived by his children, Michael (Dorothy) Clawson of Vancouver, Washington, Cathy (William) Partner of Murray, Utah, Wanda (John) Jackson of Roy, Utah, John (Glenna) Worring of Layton, Utah; brother, John R. Clawson; four nephews; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Greta Clawson and his wife, Ruth E. Clawson. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.
