Thomas M. Kite, 79, passed away July 21, 2014. He was born August 21, 1934 to Lori and Addison Eugene Kite in Keokuk, Iowa. He married Jeanne F. Case on January 30, 1962 at the White Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thomas M. Kite was a military career man who served in Vietnam and the Korean War. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 21 years of active service in the Air Force. In that time, he is accredited with being the Crew Chief of the first circumnavigational flight of a C-130 over the South Pole. He also had the honor of working on the first Stealth, the Space Shuttle, and several classified projects at Edwards AFB as well as Nellis AFB with the Thunderbirds. Thomas Kite is survived by his daughter, Sherri Bechara and son, Sean Kite; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Arthur E. Kite and Paul M. Kite and his wife, Jeanne F. Kite. Private family services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
