IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas (Tom) Robert
Coffey
February 12, 1961 – November 23, 2023
Thomas (Tom) Robert Coffey, age 62, of North Ogden, Utah, died unexpectedly on November 23, 2023. He was born February 12, 1961, in Howell, Michigan to Robert Roy Coffey and the late Mary Catherine Coffey of St. Clair, Michigan. After completing high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country with distinction for over 21 years. While on active duty, Tom graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland.
Tom married Pamela (Pam) Tate Schroll on January 5, 1991, at Shaw Air Force Base, in Sumter, South Carolina, and became an instant stepfather to Pam's only daughter, Christina. They were married for over 32 years.
After his retirement from the Air Force, Tom could be found either riding the roads throughout Utah or mountain biking in the nearby mountains. He was an active member of the Bonneville Cycling Club (BCC) and absolutely loved to ride. It's fair to say he lived for it.
Tom was predeceased by his grandmother, Agnes Hutchins and his mother, Mary Coffey, as well as several aunts & uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; a stepdaughter, Christina and son-in-law Danny of Washington DC; his father Robert Coffey; a sister, Cathy Coffey Ingles; a nephew, Brad Ingles and his wife Haddy; and 2 great-nephews and 1 great-niece: Ryder, Kaydn, and Lilly.
Tom's ashes will be returned to St. Clair, Michigan, and a service will be held there at a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
