Toni ChristensenToni Christensen, 66, died Thursday, August 23, 2012 after a long illness. She was born March 27, 1946 in Coalville, Utah to Marjorie and Dean A. Gardner. She attended elementary and secondary schools in Ogden and went on to Weber State University. She married Kent "Hack" Christensen in Ogden, Utah. Toni was a great organizer and as such, successfully managed a multi-physician orthopedic practice in Ogden for many years. All the doctors and office staff appreciated Tonis problem solving skills. Toni was a great lover of the outdoors and animals. She was an avid skier, hiker, and camper. Together with "Hack" and friends, she enjoyed all that nature had to offer. In addition, she and "Hack" rescued numerous animals over the years. She is survived by her mother, Marjorie, her stepdaughter, Heidi Christensen, her step grandson, Clay Paul Wright, "Hacks" sister, Sue Barker, and many family and friends. Toni was preceded in death by her father Dean A. Gardner and her husband "Hack Christensen. Toni will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. The service will be on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends may call on Friday evening at the mortuary from 6-8 p.m. and prior to the services Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be directed to the Ogden Animal Shelter.
