Velma K. JohnsonS. Ogden- On Thursday, March 10, 2011, Velma K. Johnson, 88 was reunited with her husband, son and eternal family.She was born September 30, 1922 in Vipont, Utah to Archa W. Leona Whitehead King. She married LeRoy B. Johnson Feb. 25, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings. Her family always came first.Gardening, quilting, embroidery, sewing and homemaking were a few of the things that were important to her.She is survived by her 5 daughters, Glenna (Gordon) Osborne; LaRhea Johnson; Beverly (Ray) Peterson; Janice Gladwell and Loraine Fife; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; one brother Earl King and Sister Colleen Bergeson. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Lamar, her parents and 4 sisters.Funeral services will be held Friday March 18, 2011 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street in Ogden.
