Vera Crandall, died April 16, 2018, at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, in the atmosphere of celebration she wanted, surrounded by her family. Vera was born on June 9, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Dewey and Ethel Anderson. She was an extraordinary woman who was full of adventure, humor, and compassion. She had the ability to listen and take joy in sharing in the lives of others, gently providing guidance by her mistakes as well as teaching the things she did right in her life experience. She worked for the Uintah Forest Service, before retiring. She took pride in her education and encouraged others to seek an education. She enjoyed her family, friends, traveling, and her pets through the years. Vera was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Merlin Anderson; sister, LaVern Olson; and her niece, Vicki Olson Green. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who she adored, and who adored her. The family would like to thank CVTU unit at McKay Dee for their compassionate, loving care of Vera. Especially nurses Rebecca and Bill, and CNA Sam. At her request, no service will be held. Arrangement have been entrusted to Leavitts Mortuary.
