Vera Lu Rands Phipps Goetz, 84 years old, passed away peacefully March 8, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born November 23, 1927 in Ogden Utah to Clarissa Jane Carbine and Joseph Leslie Rands. Vera attended Plain City Jr. High, Weber High, Nyssa High and Utah State University. She loved quilting, volunteering at the Union Station, music, traveling and fishing at Mirror Lake. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her family. Vera was married to Dale C. Phipps and Adam Goetz Sr.She is survived by one brother, Reed (Barbara) Rands; six children, Randy (Barbara) Phipps, Veda Myers, Jerry (Karol) Phipps, Bonnie (Dan) Moore, Vern (Cheryl) Phipps and Adam Goetz; 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters and one grandson, Craig Dale Myers. A special thanks to her granddaughter Crystal Propst for the loving care she gave to her grandma.
