Roy Verla S. Goodwin, 84, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Peachtree Assisted Living in West Haven. She was born June 19, 1931 in Ogden, Utah to William Sessions and Zilpha Stokes Sessions. Verla married Linden B. Goodwin on May 18, 1950 and were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple as a family on February 21, 1963. She was a member of the North Roy LDS Ward. Verlas hobbies were camping, traveling and knitting. Her greatest joy was loving her family. She was a sweet, loving and understanding lady to everyone. She touched many lives with a big loving smile and a listening ear. We will all miss her greatly. Verla is survived by her husband, Linden; two sons, Linden Allen (Chris) Goodwin of Goodyear, AZ, Wayne W. (Kristie) Goodwin of Clinton, UT; one daughter, Kathy (Chuck) Hamby of Clinton, UT; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family would like to thank Comfort Worx Hospice and the Peachtree staff for all their loving care and support.
