Vern G. Kilfoyle Sr.Our loving husband and father Vern G. Kilfoyle, 76, passed away on December 19, 2012, he went to be with his Heavenly Father and all his family that preceded him in death. He was born on July 11, 1936 to George and Cynthia Kilfoyle in Ogden, Utah. Vern married Francis E. Rochell on April 14, 1959 in Ogden, Utah. They were married for 53 years and together had 6 children. He had a short stint with the U.S. Navy which is a great credit to his character. Vern worked many years for Ogden City and South Ogden City. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing trips to Lost Creek Reservoir. He was above all a family man who loved spending time and taking care of his family. Vern could be counted on to help out when needed. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Francis, children: Vern Kilfoyle Jr. Julie and Stan Kirkman, Carol and Jim Shugert, Keith and Stella Kilfoyle, Cindy Hartley, Shelley Kilfoyle, Caden Hartley, brother, Jay Kilfoyle and sister, Cloe Mills. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Vern was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, a brother and daughter in law, Michelle Kilfoyle. Dad we all love you very much, your wife and kids. Services for Vern will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Family will meet with friends Saturday, prior to services from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
