Von R. Stauffer, 78, passed away April 17, 2013 of natural causes in Ogden, UT. He was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Providence, UT to Alvin and Della Stauffer.Von graduated from Weber High School. He married Irene Weaver Feb. 16, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Hard work was Vons middle name. May 1954 at the age of 19 he opened his first repair garage. Over the years he built a very successful repair and towing business in Ogden.Von was a very service minded individual, always willing to help others anytime of the day. In recent years he was dedicated to serving his wife Irene, never a complaint to be heard. Vons other passion was farming. He was never happier than when he was working out among the cows. He left this life on his way to feed and care for his cows. He loved collecting and driving old classic Cadillacs.Von was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his Sunday calling as the ward greeter.He was a devoted Father and Grandfather teaching all his family, the value of hard work.Survived by three children, Kerry (Celeste) Stauffer, Debra Andrews, Kurtis (Janene) Stauffer; one brother, three sisters, Glen Stauffer, Shirley Hamblin, Thelda Shurtz and Fae Young; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grand children.Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Irene, parents, oldest son Kevin, a grandson, D.C. Andrews and a brother, Sheldon Stauffer.
