In Loving Memory of Waldo "Allen" Hardison

October 10, 1936 – June 12, 2025

Waldo Allen Hardison—known to all as simply "Allen"—returned home peacefully to his Heavenly Father on June 12, 2025, in Ogden, Utah, at the age of 88. He was surrounded by the love and warmth of family, just as he had surrounded them with love and guidance throughout his remarkable life.

Allen was born on October 10, 1936, in Ajo, Arizona. He graduated from Vallejo High School and completed two years of junior college before answering a higher call—serving honorably in the United States Air Force for 22 years. As a veteran, he carried a deep sense of duty, discipline, and humility, all of which became guiding principles in his personal and professional life.

After retiring from military service, Allen continued to contribute to his community through various careers in sales, supply management, and delivery—always dependable, always dedicated. His work was never just about a paycheck; it was about people. He had a gift for connection and kindness that left lasting impressions on those he met.

A devoted and lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Allen served faithfully in many callings over the years. His quiet example of faith, charity, and service helped build testimonies and uplift hearts. He lived the gospel, not just in word, but in the way he treated every soul—as a child of God.

On March 29, 1956, Allen was sealed for time and all eternity to the love of his life, Bonnie, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Their 69-year marriage stands as a legacy of commitment, devotion, and enduring love—a true partnership centered on faith and family.

Allen was a man of many interests and talents. He found joy and creativity in photography, woodworking, rock collecting, computer work, and gardening. Whether he was capturing a moment through a camera lens or carefully tending a plant, Allen approached every hobby with curiosity, patience, and appreciation for beauty in simple things.

He leaves behind a profound legacy of love, endurance, and faith. Allen is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Bonnie Hardison. He is also survived by eight cherished children: Diane Ford, Kenny Hardison, Leland Hardison, Karen Cordon, Cynthia McBride, Jennifer Johns, Stephanie Rasband, and Lisa Thompson; his adopted granddaughter Taycina Brady; 33 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren, each one a reflection of his gentle spirit and lasting influence.

Allen was preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael Hardison, whose memory he held close to his heart.

Allen's life was not marked by worldly acclaim, but by eternal values—family, faith, hard work, and love. His quiet strength, tender humor, and deep compassion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Until we meet again, we honor him not with sorrow, but with gratitude—for a life well lived, a legacy that lifts, and a spirit that endures.
