On August 2, 2018, Walter Reeves passed peacefully in his home in North Ogden, Utah. Born in Clarksville, Texas on March 17, 1933, to Elbert Reeves and "Mama" Ola Dillard. Walter was preceded in death by his wife Barbra Jean; his eldest son Walter Ray; his brothers Billy, Joe, Elbert, and Hubert; along with his sister Christine; who have all awaited him with open arms alongside his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Gloria Bunn and Sharlet Drake; his son, Sidney Reeves; his brothers, Paul, O Jay, and Hobert; his sisters, Lorene (Patsy) and Ola Mae. As well as his grandchildren Tracy, Josh, Frank, Demitrius, DK, Derrick, Katrina, Emily, Renee, Barrett, Nicholas, Kelsey, Thomas, Kaysen, Scarlett, and Bryson. His great-grandchildren and descendants onward; Chelsea, Brianne, Jade, Alex, Azya, Sara, Danny, Sammie, Demitrius Jr, Aspen, Alexis, Mattie TKiya, Maya, Alyna, David, Korrah, Legend, and Zaya. To include a large host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved him dearly. Walter served in the Army during the Korean War, after which, he married his late wife, Barbara Jean Stephenson. For the following years he was employed as a machine operator and would retire after 16 years. Though he never lost his work ethic. Walter could often be found on the lake or in the woods, as he had a passion for fishing and hunting. He also had a natural green thumb and would tend ardently to his garden. He will be forever loved, and sorely missed for his spirit, his laughter and of course, his cooking. May he rest in peace, and loving memory. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 6:00 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 9,2018 at 2:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park.
