Pete died peacefully on January 17, 2015 from complications associated with old age at Country Lanes Assisted Living in Brigham City. He was born May 26, 1925 in Logan, Utah the son of Ezra and Alta Kidman. He was a member of the LDS Church and attended Ogden High School before joining the U.S Army at the age of 17. During WWII he was a sergeant and flew on B17s as a tail gunner with the 401st Bombardment Group. Later he joined the Army Reserves and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. He married Wilma M. Davis October 6, 1942 and they were married for fifty-two years. Pete lived in Ogden, where he worked for DDO and HAFB. He was a skilled mechanic and established his own business, Kidmans Conoco. After retiring, he moved to Plain City where he was a volunteer for the Plain City Fire Department. He married Nona J. Grundie March 1, 1996 and shortly afterwards they moved to Malad, Idaho. Pete enjoyed fishing and camping. He was an avid hunter and bagged his last buck when he was 87 years old. Pete is survived by his wife Nona; his children, Jeri (Bill) Cassity of Liberty and Alan (Diane) Kidman of Bear River; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his sister, Mae (Robert) Aldous, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma; son, Willard R., brother Lamar, and sister Roma Rankin. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the management and staff at Country Lanes Assisted Living facility for the loving care given to Pete. In accord with Petes last wishes a Graveside Service will be held for friends and family on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Plain City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
