William Glen Norton

Glen was born on December 18, 1935, in Ogden Utah to his loving parents Glenn and Beulah.

Glen attended school in Ogden.

Glen was a Navy man he joined the military in April 1956 and served for four years during the Korean War as a third-class gunner’s mate.

Glen was smitten with his girl Shanna from the early age of 16 and married her in 1958.

Glen and Shanna were married for 64 years, and we were together for nearly 70. Glenn and Shanna were blessed with two children Debbie and Kelly, three grandchildren Eric, Brandin, and their precious Linzie, and 10 great-grandchildren

Glen was such a proud strong hard-working man he loved his family and showed his Love, every day of his life. He was a dedicated man who guided his family through the many joys and blessings in life as well as through sadness and heartbreak,

Glen loved fishing and baseball. The Ogden Raptors and the Boston Red Sox. He was a NASCAR fan and Jimmy Johnson was his driver.

Glen worked for more than 40 years at Hill Air Force Base

Glen was preceded in death by his loving son Kelly his grandson Brandon and his wife Shanna, and survived by his only daughter Debbie, her husband Bruce and grandchildren Lindsey and Eric. and 10 great-grandchildren. Glen will be forever missed and remembered As a Loving, Husband, father and grandfather.

Glen was assisted by the thoughtful team of nurses and aids, Jen, Andrea and Brett, at Ashby Home Care.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.

Interment at Roy City Cemetery.

Mr. Norton was one of our assistant football coaches at Roy Jr. High back in the day. What a GREAT dude and great coach. Whenever I would see him around town years later we would stop & talk football. Godspeed Mr. Norton!

Glenn I will miss you How are you checked on me after Bruce passed how we talked about how hard it is after are spouses passed away you have always been a big part of my life .I love you to the moon and back I love you so much I know you were in a better place we had so many great memories and how many Saturday Afternoons we spent together You love others unconditionally
