William Earl Sims of South Ogden passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. He was born on January 25, 1926 in Ogden, UT to Frederick William and Alice Camilla Frost Sims. He grew up in Ogden with his brother, Jack and sister, Marion. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1943 then enlisted in the navy. He was discharged as a 3rd class petty officer. He worked in the warehouse and as a truck driver for Hone Oil Company for 43 plus years. He married Ruby Lorraine Davis on September 11, 1948. They later divorced. He then married Julia Kendell Coleman on December 3, 1971. Earl is survived by his sister, Marion Shappart; children, Randy and Laurie Sims, Stan and Connie Sims, Laurel and Keeth Kennington, Donna and John Montierth and Michael Sims along with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. The family would like to thank Thatcher Brook Rehab, Heritage Park and Brighton Hospice for their tender loving care of Dad. A Viewing will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
