William Larry Taylor's Obituary

William Larry Taylor February 9, 1937 April 16, 2017 On Sunday, April 16, 2017, our amazing, loving husband, father, grandfather, and hero, William Larry Taylor was reunited with his beloved wife and eternal companion. He was born February 9, 1937, in Ogden, UT to William Stanley Taylor and Henrietta Fowers Taylor. He graduated from Weber High School. On March 30, 1956, he married his beautiful wife, Carol Janet Stokes. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple on August 6, 1965. They were happily married for 59 years before she passed. Larry worked at many different positions throughout his life, retiring as manager from Oborn Transfer and Storage after 27 years of service. He faithfully served many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Larry enjoyed being outdoors and loved being with his family more than anything. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, or going on adventures. In his spare time he was often found tinkering under a car, in his work-shed, or in the yard. He was our idol and strength. His example and love will be forever in our hearts. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his five children: Cathy Familo, LeAnn (Drieu) Bott, Brad (Denise) Taylor, Lori (Kirt) Van Natta, Shelly (Duane) Park, 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Janet Taylor; one grandson, Daniel William Taylor, and both his parents. A viewing will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Washington Terrace 8th Ward, 350 W. 5100 S., Washington Terrace, UT. Family will greet friends from 10:00 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service. Interment at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT
