Wilma L. Greenwalt's Obituary

Wilma was born on April 18, 1922 in Gering, Nebraska to Odie William and Mae Naomi Fleenor. She has resided in Utah since 1956. Wilma married William Keith Atkins on January 9, 1941. From this union, a daughter, Pamela Atkins was born in 1947. They later divorced. Wilma married Richard Greenwalt on October 16, 1956. On April 17, 1958 Sandra Kae Greenwalt was born. Wilma and Richard were married for 58 years. The girls were blessed to have such a wonderful mother. Wilma enjoyed fishing. She loved to go to Willard Bay in their motor home and boat. She loved the trips every summer to Colorado and Nebraska to visit family. She liked to read. She loved to come to her daughter Pams home for all the holidays and family dinners. Wilma was a cosmetologist and worked at J.C. Penneys and the Mon Marche in the hair salons. Wilma and Richard owned the Corner Inn Bar. She worked there for 25 years. Wilma is survived by daughters Pamela (Stephen) Furniss and Sandra Dougherty; grandchildren: Stacey Furniss, Lance Furniss, Brian Furniss, John Dougherty, Joe (Nikki) Dougherty, Jackie Dougherty; two great granddaughters; her brother Merle Fleenor of Morrill, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Gina (Steve) Larson, Rochester, MN and Teresa Greenwell, New Bedford, MA; nephew Kenny (Cheri) Fleenor, WY; two nieces Ann Fleenor, Alaska and Cheri (Too-Tall), CA; and her little buddy, her dog, Bandit. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; brother Kenneth (Emma) Fleenor; sister Marge (Art) Knoepfel; sister-in-law Ina Rose Fleenor; brothers-in-law Roy and Alvin Greenwalt; and three nephews Gary, Artie and Greg Knoepfel. The family wishes to thank Ronda Jones, Kristy Burnett, and Deborah Holdsworth from A Step Forward Hospice, for their love and compassion. Mom loved you all. At Wilmas request a Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 - 36th St., Ogden, Utah.
