Zachary Todd Shultis, 17, formerly of West Point, Utah, passed away at his home in Ogden, Utah on May 6, 2012. He was born September 20, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Zack was a beautiful and inspiring young man. His love for people and music was an inspiration to us all. He extended himself to all and always reached out to those in need of a friend. His favorite pastimes included hiking, spending time with his friends and practicing and performing with his band SkySight. He was a brilliant, mostly self taught musician and song writer. He was an awesome guitarist and singer. He was a junior at Syracuse High School. Zack struggled with depression much of his young adult life. His loved ones and friends did everything they could to help and guide him through his struggles. He is survived by his father, Gregory Todd (Dawn) Shultis, his mother, Teresa Dorene Redd (Kirt) Day and beautiful little sister and BFF Sarah Marie Shultis. He is also survived by his grandmothers: Marguerite Ann Shultis and Tera James. Zack is survived by numerous step-siblings and grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his aunt Audrey Shultis Hayes, grandfathers: Clifford Robert Redd and Elwin Morse Shultis, as well as great-grandmothers Ida C. Peoples and Sarah Jewel Simpson. We would like to extend special gratitude to the families, friends, teachers, mentors and counselors for your love and support for Zack during his far too short life here and for those left behind struggling to make sense of it all. "If youre happy, then Im happy; if youre OK, then Im OK.Ill protect you, I will keep you safe. If youre falling, I will catch you. You can trust me.Cause well get through together, well do anything.
