Zanaya Marriott, 73, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024. She was born on October 3, 1951, in Evanston, Wyoming, to Arrawanna Barney and Zane Hatch. After her parents divorced, she was lovingly adopted by her stepfather, Warren Caldwell, who became a devoted father and role model throughout her life.
Zanaya was known for her loving spirit, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She found great fulfillment in her career as a nurse, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories that will be treasured forever. She especially loved sharing coffee and heartfelt chats with family and friends, creating moments that will be remembered fondly. Her quick wit and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around her, leaving lasting smiles and fond recollections.
She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Paul Marriott; her children, Bobbette Merchant of Salina, Utah; Jeffery (Bree) Nielsen of Salina, Utah; Brandi Hinkley of Ogden, Utah; and Stephanie Mecham of Ogden, Utah; her brother, Brian Caldwell; and 9 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Cheryl Damron and Denise Walker.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on December 27th at Leavitt's Mortuary in Ogden, Utah.
Zanaya's legacy of love, kindness, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
