HONORING TRADITIONS AT OUR HISTORIC MAUSOLEUM
THE MAUSOLEUM
Explore Our Timeless Mausoleum
Built in 1935 by James M. Harbertson, our Egyptian-inspired Mausoleum features an Egyptian figure holding a wreath and torch, symbolizing everlasting life and hope.

Historic Egyptian-Inspired Mausoleum and Crematory
Our Mausoleum is a large, white church-like structure. James M. Harbertson built the Egyptian-inspired Mausoleum in 1935. The Egyptian figure on the roof is holding a wreath, signifying everlasting life, and a torch, a symbol of hope. Inside, full caskets are encased vertically in Italian marble, in the style of a European crypt. A crematory was constructed in 1937 and served as Utah’s only crematory for years. Many Utah Buddhists and others were cremated here.
